6 March 2008 was a night to remember in Bangsar for this year's general election! Today was the day when residents of Bangsar and Lembah Pantai was treated to a good show and wonderful and motivational speeches by Dato' Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil and Dato' Seri Najib Tun Razak. 
Though the night was greeted with heavy rainfall, the turnout at the ceramah was more than favourable. Lots of supporters, residents and pressmen were seen attending the event. 
The even was also graced by top performers like Erra Fazira and Datuk Siti Nurhaliza. Basically the singers and performers belted out numbers to please the crowd which saw an ethnic mix of Malays, Chinese, Indians and Foreigners. The crowd was also treated to a noisy affair by the Indian Banggra Drums as well as the Chinese Drums along with the Malay Kompangs. 
Earlier on in the day, saw other speakers like AirAsia Bhd group chief executive officer Datuk Tony Fernandes who came and showed his support to Dato' Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil. 
Overall the election fever is definitely in Bangsar especially felt this time round with the setting up of the "Speakers' Corner" at what used to be the old Devi's Corner just opposite the Bangsar Village I & II.
