KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 — Close cooperation between the federal and state governments is essential to ensuring that national development is planned in an inclusive, sustainable and comprehensive manner for the benefit of the people.

In a Facebook post, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he made the remarks while chairing the 51st National Physical Planning Council (MPFN) meeting in Putrajaya today.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said the meeting reviewed various matters related to national physical development, including land-use planning and State Structure Plans, in line with the Town and Country Planning Act 1976 (Act 172).

“All relevant parties must continue to improve service delivery to strengthen the investment ecosystem and make dealings easier for the people,” he said. — Bernama
