KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in parts of seven states until 7pm today.
In Perak, the affected area is Hulu Perak, while in Kelantan, the warning covers Kuala Krai, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang and Pasir Puteh, MetMalaysia said in a statement.
The warning also covers Besut, Setiu, Dungun, Kemaman, Marang and Hulu Terengganu in Terengganu; Pekan, Rompin and Jerantut in Pahang; and Kota Tinggi and Mersing in Johor.
In Sarawak, the affected areas are Kapit, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri, Limbang, Samarahan, Serian, Kuching and Sri Aman (Lubok Antu).
In Sabah, the warning covers the West Coast (Ranau, Tuaran, Kota Kinabalu, Kota Belud, Penampang and Papar), Interior (Keningau, Tambunan, Pensiangan, Sook, Tenom, Sipitang, Beaufort and Membakut), Kudat (Kota Marudu), and Sandakan (Kinabatangan and Sandakan). — Bernama
