KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has appealed to the people of Johor to give the coalition the mandate to govern the state for the next five years.

In a Facebook post, the prime minister pledged that PH would carry out the responsibility with full commitment and would not betray the trust placed in it.

“I humbly appeal to the people of Johor to give Pakatan Harapan candidates the mandate to lead the state for the next five years,” the PKR president said.

Anwar also quoted Verse 58 of Surah An-Nisa, which emphasises the importance of fulfilling trusts entrusted to one’s care and upholding justice.

PH is contesting all 56 seats in the state election.

Polling is on July 11, with early voting on July 7.
