PUTRAJAYA, July 3 — Applications for the Subsidised Diesel Control System (SKDS) have opened today for the land transport sector covering company-owned private vehicles, including jeeps and pick-up trucks, Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said.

He said successful applicants will become eligible for the diesel subsidy from July 15, subject to approval and the issuance of a fleet card.

“To qualify, vehicles must be registered as business vehicles under the Company Private Use (AE) class/code in the Road Transport Department’s (JPJ) MySikap system.

“In addition, the business must be registered as a sole proprietorship or partnership with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) or the relevant local authority in Sabah and Sarawak,” he said in a statement today.

Armizan said the subsidy is intended to benefit registered micro and small businesses operating as sole proprietorships and partnerships.

Eligible business owners are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible through the MySubsidi portal at https://mysubsidi.kpdn.gov.my.

The government had previously extended SKDS eligibility to two other categories: the public land transport sector and the consumer goods land transport sector. — Bernama
