SHAH ALAM, Oct 24 — Edaran Otomobil Nasional Bhd (EON) has strengthened its after-sales services for customers with the launch of its first vehicle body and paint repair hub in Glenmarie here.

Spanning 41,508 square feet, the centre is equipped with 39 work bays, three paint-mixing rooms and four spray booths to meet the repair and restoration needs of various vehicle brands under EON, including Proton, Mitsubishi, Audi and smart electric vehicles. It is also expected to accommodate Proton e.Mas vehicles in the future.

EON chief executive officer Akkbar Danial said the opening of the centre demonstrated the company’s commitment to providing a more comprehensive vehicle ownership experience, as the company’s relationship with customers does not end once a new vehicle leaves the showroom.

“Every point of interaction throughout the ownership journey is an opportunity for us to deliver value, build trust and create meaningful experiences.

“This commitment is being realised through the hub, which adheres to EON’s procedures and processes to ensure that after-sales services are comprehensive and of high quality,” he said at a press conference held in conjunction with the hub’s launch yesterday.

Earlier, the official opening ceremony was officiated by DRB-HICOM Bhd group chief operating officer for corporate services Datuk Jezilee Mohamad Ramli.

Akkbar said the vehicle body and paint repair hub was equipped with modern repair technology and supported by a team of trained professionals.

“The centre also accepts accident repair claims from all insurance companies, thereby providing customers with better access to its services.

“Besides offering a seamless repair and painting process, vehicles are returned in optimal condition while maintaining safety, quality and aesthetic standards,” he said.

The opening of the hub would strengthen EON’s after-sales ecosystem and support the company’s brand promise, “Passion Drives Possibilities”, by ensuring that service interactions go beyond customer expectations, he said.

“With more than four decades of experience in the country’s automotive industry, EON continues to transform itself into a more customer-centric mobility partner.

“Besides connecting communities through mobility, we aim to provide convenient and reliable solutions for vehicle care needs,” he said.

Akkbar said the company also planned to explore opportunities to expand the network of hubs to strategic locations in other states in the future.

“This move will enable EON to leverage its existing network while enhancing service accessibility and providing better support to customers across its automotive portfolio,” he said. — Bernama
