KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 — Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Hannah Yeoh today revealed that she had lodged a complaint about the city’s shrinking retention ponds with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in 2021.

Earlier this week, Yeoh ordered a stoppage of all development permissions on land around the Jinjang and Batu flood retention ponds, after revealing that they had shrunk to just 30 per cent of their original size.

Speaking to reporters in Segambut here, Yeoh was asked whether she plans to urge the authorities to investigate. The minister said she is still waiting for the anti-graft agency to respond.
