KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 — The upgrading project of the new block of the Emergency and Trauma Department at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) is now in the final phase of implementation.

The HKL Management said today that several issues require repair and improvement work in the inspection and completion process before the facility can be fully completed.

“The related work is being given attention and priority, with a resolution expected to be implemented by the end of 2026,” said the statement.

HKL said that it is committed to ensuring that all repair work is carried out properly to meet the facility’s safety, functional, and quality requirements before the project is finalised.

The operation and delivery of health services at the HKL Emergency and Trauma Department will continue as usual during this period.

HKL also appreciates the public’s cooperation, patience, and understanding throughout the upgrading works and apologises for any difficulties that may arise. — Bernama
