
JOHOR BAHRU, June 9 — A human skull believed to belong to an adult male was found in the waters off Sedili near Kota Tinggi after it became entangled in a local fisherman’s net on June 6.
Kota Tinggi police chief Supt Yusof Othman said the skull was discovered by a 44-year-old boat skipper at about 3 am before being handed over to the police.
He said the skull was subsequently sent to the Forensic Unit of Kota Tinggi Hospital for further examination.
“An examination conducted by a forensic medical officer confirmed that the skull is believed to belong to an adult male aged between 20 and 30 years,” he said in a statement.
The case has been classified as a sudden death report.
Members of the public who have missing family members or information related to the case are urged to contact Kuala Sedili police station chief SM Mohammad Aizat Ahmad at 018-246 4667 to assist in the investigation. — Bernama
