JOHOR BAHRU, May 17 — PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he is not following the latest political developments involving two former senior party leaders, Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
“I am not following,” he said briefly after attending the Prime Minister’s Goodwill Programme with the People at Taman Desa Mutiara People’s Housing Project (PPR) in Tebrau here today.
He said this when asked to comment on the decision of the former deputy president and former vice resident of PKR on reportedly taking over a political party known as Parti Bersama Malaysia or Malaysian United Party (MUP).
MUP is a political party registered on December 2, 2016 in Penang.
Earlier, Rafizi and Nik Nazmi announced their latest political direction at a function in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, besides announcing their exit from PKR and vacating their respective parliamentary seats effective tomorrow.
Rafizi, who is the Pandan Member of Parliament, said he and Nik Nazmi, the Setiawangsa Member of Parliament, will write a letter regarding the decision to the Speaker of Dewan Rakyat, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul tomorrow. — Bernama
