IGP: Police awaiting Indonesia report on Malaysian couple arrested over drug-laced vapes

PASIR MAS, Aug 26 — The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is still waiting for a full report from Indonesian authorities regarding the arrest of a Malaysian man and his girlfriend in the country linked to vapes.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohd Khalid Ismail said PDRM has not yet received a complete report on the case.

“We still have not received a full report, so I will wait for the report from there and I will make sure that if there is any new development, I will make sure that we inform reporters,” he said after conducting a working visit to the illegal Lubok Gong base, Rantau Panjang, here, today.

Today, the media reported that a Malaysian was arrested after being suspected of being involved in distributing electronic cigarettes or vapes containing drugs in Medan, Indonesia, last week.

The 22-year-old man was arrested with his 35-year-old girlfriend who is an Indonesian citizen.

According to a report by Antara News, the couple was arrested with 29 vapes containing drug liquids. — Bernama
