JOHOR BAHRU, May 29 — Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) will hold its convention on June 14 as a platform to strengthen the coalition’s resolve, unity and direction at the state level.
Johor Menteri Besar and the state BN chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the decision was made during the state BN meeting held today.
He said the meeting served as an important platform to refine strategies and strengthen cooperation among the coalition’s component parties.
“The meeting also outlined a more structured approach to ensure that the Maju Johor agenda continues to be driven forward for the well-being of the people and the state’s overall development,” he said in a statement after chairing the meeting today.
He said the meeting also took note of the official announcement by BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi regarding the return of the People’s Progressive Party (MyPPP) to the coalition.
In this regard, Onn Hafiz said Johor BN remains fully committed to strengthening cooperation with MyPPP to further enhance unity and streamline the coalition’s machinery throughout Johor.
