PUTRAJAYA, May 31 — The Aerotrain at KLIA Terminal 1 will resume full 24-hour operations starting 12am, June 1.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the service is now ready after months of rigorous safety upgrades and testing by Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd in coordination with the Land Public Transport Agency (Apad) and verified by independent railway assessors.

The reinstatement follows the completion of a Comprehensive Action Plan (CAP) that began in November 2025.

The programme included detailed inspections, system testing, validation and extended trial runs under both passenger and non-passenger conditions.

Loke said that engineering maintenance will be carried out daily from 12am to 5am, with a single train remaining in service during those hours.

He added that Apad will maintain strict regulatory oversight to ensure the Aerotain’s long-term safety and reliability.
