Man hospitalised after unknown assailant stabs him at KL Wholesale Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 — A man in his 30s was injured in the back after being stabbed with a sharp metal object by an unidentified individual at the Kuala Lumpur Wholesale Market yesterday.

Sentul acting district police chief Supt Jasni Zolpa said the incident occurred at about 8.40am while the man was working at the market.

“The victim was taken to Selayang Hospital for further treatment and is in stable condition. The victim’s friend also lodged a police report about the incident at 1.30pm today.

“Further investigations are underway to determine the motive for the incident,” he said in a statement here today.

Earlier, a 47-second video went viral on social media showing a man in a green shirt in pain after being stabbed with a sharp object in the back. — Bernama
