MELAKA, June 4 — Melaka has introduced drive-through pharmacy services at four healthcare facilities, enabling patients to collect their medication more conveniently without having to queue at pharmacy counters, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh said.

He said the service is available at Melaka Hospital and the Masjid Tanah, Umbai and Merlimau Health Clinics as part of efforts to improve access to healthcare services.

Implemented by the Melaka Health Department under its Value Added Services (VAS) programme, the facility allows patients to obtain their medication without leaving their vehicles.

“The service helps reduce congestion at pharmacy counters while speeding up the medication collection process,” he said in a statement posted on Facebook today.

Ab Rauf said the initiative is in line with the Melaka Sayang Rakyat (MeSRa) agenda, which emphasises the state government’s commitment to prioritising public well-being through faster, more accessible and effective service delivery.

He added that the state government is confident the drive-through pharmacy service will enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery while contributing to a better quality of life for the people of Melaka. — Bernama
