P-hailing rider dies after collision with car exiting junction in Kota Marudu

KOTA MARUDU, May 18 — A 28-year-old p-hailing rider died after a motorcycle crash with a Perodua Kancil at Jalan Simpang Kampung Bunsadan yesterday.

Mohd Shahriman Basman suffered severe head injuries after the car, driven by a 68-year-old woman, suddenly exited a junction into his path. He died four hours later at Kota Marudu Hospital.

Police believe the driver failed to give way. She was unhurt and has been detained under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — Daily Express
