
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 — The police are actively conducting an investigation into a burglary case suspected to have been carried out by four masked suspects at a woman’s residence in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, resulting in an estimated loss of RM35,000.
Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said the report regarding the incident was received by the police yesterday.
“The incident has resulted in the loss of jewellery and the disappearance of several important documents,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Mohd Hafiz said that members of the public who have information regarding the incident are requested to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Shamie Yusop, at 013-6463069 or the Sungai Buloh district police headquarters at 03-61561222 to assist with the investigation.
It is said that the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
Earlier, a video went viral on social media showing a woman’s house in disarray after it was believed to have been broken into, and reported missing was cash, mobile phones, jewellery and passports. — Bernama
