Selangor CID officer dies after falling from building in Shah Alam

KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 — A police officer died after he was believed to have fallen from a building in Section 14 in Shah Alam early this morning.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar, confirming the incident, said the male officer was attached to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Selangor police contingent headquarters, according to report published by Berita Harian today. 

“The Shah Alam district police headquarters control centre received information on the incident at about 3.07am this morning.

“The victim was confirmed dead at the scene, and the case has been classified as sudden death pending post-mortem results,” he said in a statement today.

He said Selangor police extended condolences to the victim’s family and urged the public not to spread speculation that could disrupt investigations.
