KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 — Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and his fiancée, singer-actress Bella Astillah, have reportedly announced that they will marry on October 10 at Level 118 of Menara Merdeka Maybank here.
Berita Harian reported that the couple, who became engaged on March 28, revealed their wedding date during entertainment programme MeleTOP last night, adding that the ceremony will feature an all-white theme with Arab or Islamic elements at their families’ request.
“I am grateful to everyone who has continued to pray for us and offer advice. I do read it and take it seriously,” Syed Saddiq was quoted as saying.
He and Bella, 32, are also reportedly planning their wedding reception in the same month, with several other celebrations expected to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Muar and Sabah.
Syed Saddiq thanked the management of Menara Merdeka Maybank for allowing them to hold the solemnisation there, saying it would be among the first wedding ceremonies held on the building’s 118th floor.
