
KLANG, Sept 13 — A 16-year-old teenager was among 146 individuals detained for checks during an operation targeting road bullies at the Bukit Raja Toll Plaza on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) here early today.
Sinar Harian reported that the integrated operation involving the Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), Road Transport Department (JPJ) and National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) also resulted in 50 motorcycles being seized for various offences.
In a statement, Selangor police said 146 individuals aged between 16 and 25, as well as 141 motorcycles, were inspected during the operation.
“Selangor police issued 92 summonses, while the Bukit Aman JSPT issued 24 summonses for various traffic offences,” the statement said.
A total of 50 motorcycles were also seized for further action.
Meanwhile, AADK conducted 22 random urine screening tests involving 17 men and five women.
“The screening found that no individuals were arrested for testing positive for drugs,” the statement said.
