LOS ANGELES, Aug 2 — A gunman opened fire yesterday at an In‑N‑Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, killing at least three people and wounding two others, according to a Bernama-Xinhua report.

AFP reported that Twin Falls city spokesman Joshua Palmer told CBS News that the shooting began inside the restaurant before 2.30pm local time, while details of the incident remained unclear.

Video footage aired by local media showed what appeared to be a young man carrying a long gun outside the restaurant, while other clips posted on social media showed more than a dozen people fleeing the building.

“It was a very chaotic scene,” Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said, noting that authorities were still working to confirm the number of victims.

Twin Falls, a city of about 56,000 residents in southern Idaho, is located roughly 290 kilometres north-west of Salt Lake City.
