Wet weather continues into the evening for Klang Valley and rest of peninsula, Sarawak

KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 — Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit the federal capital and 10 states until 7pm tonight.

MetMalaysia in a statement announced that the states affected are Kedah involving Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu; Penang (Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah and Seberang Perai Selatan) and Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim).

Similar weather is expected to hit Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat); Pahang (Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin); Terengganu (Dungun and Kemaman) and Kuala Lumpur.

The same warning has also been issued for Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu, Jempol and Tampin); Melaka (Jasin) and Johor.

In Sarawak, the affected areas are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Sarikei (Sarikei, Julau and Meradong), Sibu (Sibu and Kanowit), Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro and Matu) and Kapit (Song). — Bernama
