KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — The woman who was found stuffed inside a suitcase in an apartment in Kajang, Selangor, died after being slashed in the head, police said today.
Kajang police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the post-mortem was completed yesterday evening and confirmed that the victim’s body was found intact, according to Free Malaysia Today.
“The apartment where the victim was discovered had been rented to a foreign couple since February,” he said in a statement.
Naazron urged members of the public with information on the case, or those with missing family members or workers, to contact investigating officer Nur Ayuni Abd Aziz to assist in the murder investigation.
A foul smell coming from the unit led to the discovery of the body two days ago.
Police later found the victim stuffed inside a suitcase in the living room.
The victim’s identity and nationality have not yet been established as no identification documents were found.
