KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 — Former Subang MP Wong Chen has joined Bersama, days after resigning from his parliamentary seat.

Bersama chairman Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli announced Wong’s membership at a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Taman Putra Perdana, Puchong, today.

Wong, a three-term MP who had been with PKR for nearly two decades, had previously indicated that he would eventually leave the party after Rafizi and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad resigned their parliamentary seats to lead Bersama.

Wong was among three PKR MPs whose access to the MyKhas constituency funding portal was revoked after they attended Bersama’s launch event in May. The other two were Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail and Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung.

Wong was previously the non-executive chairman of Malaysia Debt Ventures Bhd but was removed from the position in May.
