
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his condolences to the entire family of former Chief Justice Tun Mohamed Eusoff Chin, who died this morning.
In a Facebook post today, Anwar said Mohamed Eusoff had rendered great service to the nation, particularly in strengthening the judicial institution throughout his career.
“His contributions and service will always be remembered.
“May Allah SWT forgive all his sins, shower His mercy upon him, and place his soul among the righteous and the faithful,” he said.
Anwar ended the post with a recitation of Al-Fatihah as a mark of respect to the deceased.
Mohamed Eusoff, 91, was laid to rest at the Section 9 Muslim Cemetery in Kota Damansara.
He served as Malaysia’s second Chief Justice from September 1994 to December 2000. — Bernama
