KUALA LUMPUR, July 4 — Several roads in the Jalan U Thant area will be temporarily closed to traffic from this Monday until Jan 31 next year to facilitate pipe-jacking construction works.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), in a Facebook post, said the closure will affect the exit from Jalan U Thant to Jalan Tun Razak near Regal House, as well as the entry from Jalan Tun Razak to Jalan Langgak Golf near the Embassy of Iraq.

As part of the traffic management plan, Jalan Langgak Golf will be converted into a one-way road for vehicles exiting towards Jalan Tun Razak.

According to DBKL, motorists travelling from Jalan Tun Razak to Jalan U Thant, Jalan Taman U Thant, Jalan Maidge, Persiaran Ampang Hilir, and Jalan Langgak Golf must use Jalan U Thant as the designated entry route.

Meanwhile, motorists travelling from Jalan U Thant, Jalan Taman U Thant, Jalan Maidge, Persiaran Ampang Hilir, and Jalan Langgak Golf towards Jalan Tun Razak are required to exit via Jalan Langgak Golf.

“DBKL advises all road users to plan their journeys, comply with traffic signboards and instructions, use the designated routes in accordance with the Traffic Management Plan, and exercise caution when travelling through the construction area,” the statement said. — Bernama
