KOTA TINGGI, Sept 4 — For the second consecutive day, students of Madrasah Tahfiz Al-Quran Ar-Redha in Bandar Penawar recited the azan and Yasin and performed Dhuha and hajat prayers as the search continued for two teenagers feared drowned at Tanjung Lompat Beach here.
Islamic Education teacher Mohd Azroy Azhar said the students took the initiative voluntarily after seeing the various efforts by the authorities and the victims’ families to locate the missing teenagers.
He said the students were also doing their part by offering prayers and supplications, hoping that the two missing teenagers would be found soon.
“We feel that this is one way for these tahfiz children to serve the community. We want to show that whatever test we go through, there is a solution. Allah SWT tells us in the Quran to face our trials with patience and prayer.
“We pray to Allah SWT that they can be found today. The family is really hoping for good news. Insya-Allah, we turn to the Quran and prayers for strength,” he said when met at Tanjung Lompat Beach here today.
