
KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 — An eight-year-old girl died and a 10-year-old boy was critically injured after both fell from a high-rise apartment block in Tampoi, Johor Bahru yesterday morning, according to a report by the New Straits Times (NST).
The incident occurred at about 7.59am, during which the two children reportedly fell from an upper floor of the residential complex and landed on a lower level near the swimming pool area.
The girl died while being taken to hospital, while the boy is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Sultanah Aminah Hospital.
Johor Bahru North police chief Assistant Commissioner Radin Ramlan Radin Taha confirmed the incident when contacted by NST but declined to provide further details, saying an official statement would be issued later.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear and police are expected to provide further details as investigations continue.
